About Us

Coffee roasting has been a big part of our family for years. Many years ago, Keith Connor (Jim's Dad) started roasting coffee over an open flame. to this day, he manually rotates the green beans over a flame while listening for the subtle popping sound of the beans' first crack.

Keith was inspired by the Guatemalan process of roasting beans over an open fire and created a machine that captivated the same affect in his own home. As time went on, Keith's fire roasted coffee became a cherished gift and tradition in the family to be drank at the cottage, and during holiday celebrations. This is how our love for coffee and roasting design was born.

Since 2020 Mike Weldon and Jim Connor have been developing a personal size flame roaster capable of roasting 2 pounds of green coffee per batch. This unit is designed and built here in Lanark County. Founded on their friendship, extensive trade background, and love of phenomenal coffees, Mike and Jim are pursuing their dream to make available both their flame roaster and their coffee to fellow coffee connoisseurs. Their love for all things of quality has been the driving force to design a flame roaster unit with the highest quality materials to deliver a beautiful artisan coffee for you to enjoy. We are absolutely passionate about roasting coffee and delight in our locally designed and developed roasting system. 

 

We have come a long way since Keith's original roaster design while keeping the heart behind the coffee and process. We love that each and every roast we make is a wonderful way to share our traditions with your family.
